HubSpot Calling and Call Logging

This guide will run through the steps to automatically have your outbound calls logged within HubSpot, and how to make outbound calls from within HubSpot and the CRM integration.  

  

This guide assumes that the HubSpot integration is enabled within the CRM integration desktop app. If you need assistance enabling the HubSpot integration please contact CallHarbor support.  

  

 

Configuring automatic call logging: 

 

  1. Click configuration from within the CRM integration from the bottom right hand side of your task bar: 

  1.  Click HubSpot from the list of integrations: 

  1. Ensure that the settings "Create activity on call end" and Entities "Contacts" & "Companies" are selected: 

You are now configured for automatic call logging! Any calls made from your CallHarbor desk phone, web phone, or CRM application will automatically be logged in the contact record within HubSpot.  

  

 

 

Making outbound calls for HubSpot contacts: 

 

Using Address Book Search: 

  1. Right click on the CRM integration application from your task bar at the bottom right. 

  1. Click Address Book 

  1. Search for the contact you would like to call 

  1. From the HubSpot contacts displayed you may click on the phone icon to initiate a call, or the contact icon to open the record within HubSpot. 

Using Tel:// Links: 

  1. Open the CRM integration by right clicking on the icon in your task bar 

  1. Click configuration 

  1. Click Dialing under General.  

  1. Under "Dialing Helpers" enable download and install the TAPI driver, and CallTo protocol handler. 

 

 

You are now ready to make calls outbound using from within HubSpot. To make a call follow the below steps: 

 

  1. Open a contact record within HubSpot.  

  1. In the contact phone number field on the left hand side click on the blue square with the arrow facing towards the upper right. 

  1. Your call should now commence and be logged automatically.  

  

Using Browser Extension: 

 

  1. Open the CRM integration by right clicking on the icon in your task bar 

  1. Click configuration 

  1. Click Dialing under General.  

  1. Under "Dialing Helpers" enable download and install the browser extension (this is specific to the type of browser you have). 

 

You are now ready to make calls outbound using from within HubSpot. To make a call follow the below steps: 

 

  1. Search for a contact within HubSpot. 

  1. In the contact phone number field within the search click on the blue phone icon to initiate the call. 

  1. Your call should now commence and be logged automatically.
