How do I plug in my phone?

The exact position of the buttons will be different from phone to phone, but the names will be the same across phones that share a brand.

Grandstream
You want to make sure that the LAN (B) port is plugged into a network port or switch that has access to the internet. If you don't know a port or switch to use, contact your IT manager. If you have a computer that needs network access, you can plug it into the PC port (B) and it will share the phone's network connection. Some times a phone will also need a power plug connected to the power port (C). Most phones will receive power from the LAN (B) port.


Polycom
You want to make sure that the LAN (C) port is plugged into a network port or switch that has access to the internet. If you don't know a port or switch to use, contact your IT manager. If you have a computer that needs network access, you can plug it into the PC port (D) and it will share the phone's network connection. Some times a phone will also need a power plug connected to the power port (A). Most phones will receive power from the LAN (C) port.

Yealink

You want to make sure that the Internet (B) port is plugged into a network port or switch that has access to the internet. If you don't know a port or switch to use, contact your IT manager. If you have a computer that needs network access, you can plug it into the PC port (B) and it will share the phone's network connection. Some times a phone will also need a power plug connected to the power port (C). Most phones will receive power from the Internet (B) port.

Yealink Cordless
You want to make sure you locate the phone base. It is a different device then the headset. You can see what it looks like in the pictures below. You want to make sure that the Internet (1) port is plugged into a network port or switch that has access to the internet. If you don't know a port or switch to use, contact your IT manager. Some times a phone will also need a power plug connected to the power port (2). Most phones will receive power from the Internet (1) port.
